The first date is always about getting to know each other, their hobbies, their families and their interests. You have to be decent, interesting, and very informative to keep the attraction going on. Do not make any suggestive gestures in actions or words initially as you might make your date run away from you thinking you as a pervert. Worse would be when he/she spreads this to their friends about your character and you will end up being the laughing-stock in your area and none will want to date you.

Dressing the wrong way

As they say that the first impression is the last impression, you have to make sure that you look quite presentable to your date. You should be a clever amalgamation of fashion and comfort. Do not dress up in revealing clothes or try to look like the local don. Dress up smartly, make sure you do not smell, shave and comb your hair well and make sure your mouth does not smell. You have to have a pleasing personality as word spreads. If you end up with our date smelling like a horse stable, she might find you repulsive and even talk about you to your friends.

Being Shallow and Critical

Criticizing your date before you get to know them is a big turn-off. Don’t judge a book by its cover. You would be surprised to know that the same person might have much more to offer than you think. Oh gosh!! If your excuse is that you got stuck in traffic which causes you to be 45 minutes late. Do me a favor and stay there.

Take it slow, no need to kiss or get intimate on the first date. The other person might not like this and ultimately think you’re just in it for one thing only.

Being self-absorbed

Using your phone

Phones can be distracting, but when you’re on a date this kind of distraction you don’t need. Being on your phone is rude and sends the wrong message. If you can’t respect a simple date how are you going to respect a relationship?
