How to Roast Garlic
Roasted garlic cloves can be a perfectly delicious addition to many dishes. The flavor of garlic adds such an amazing aroma and taste.
- 1 whole head of garlic (preferably large)
- 1 tsp olive oil
Preheat the oven to 400F (205C)
Peel away the top layer of the foliage leaf. Make sure that the skin (first foliage leaf) are still intact
Place individual garlic in a foil paper and sprinkle with olive oil then wrap the garlic in the foil, like the shape of a ball.
As soon as the oven is heated, place the garlic cloves in the oven on a baking sheet and bake for 35 mins or until the cloves are soft and slightly brown. (depending on the size of the garlic and the amount of garlic the timing might be different).
When ready, let the cloves cool then remove the skins. By using a fork or knife you can easily remove garlic out of their skins.
Leave the cloves intact.
Best to roast in foil paper as this will allow them to cook quicker.
You can roast as much garlic at once as you like.
