This pomegranate spritz is an excellent holiday/ Christmas spritzer. Perfect for Parties and family dinners. It’s fruity, slightly sweet, and very refreshing. A great way to spruce up your prosecco.
Pomegranate Spritz
Pomegranate may sound like a tart fruit with strong flavors but it really depends on the type of pomegranate you get. Fortunately, the ones I got were sweet and delicious. I was able to use them to make a beautiful Pomegranate White Chocolate Biscotti Mousse. Just imagine a Pomegranate Spritz.
How to Make the Pomegranate Juice
Option 1 is to buy pomegranate juice. And option two would be to get 2-3 whole pomegranates (for up to 2 servings), cut them in half, and squeeze the juices from the pomegranate into a container. If you like it to be sweeter you could add simple syrup or sugar to make it sweet. This way you wouldn’t need to add simple syrup to your shaker.
What kind of prosecco to use.
I used a brand from Wine and Spirit called Casa Canevel, Prosecco Doc Brut. Which I find to be affordable and very delicious. The choice of prosecco will 100 percent affect the taste. If you like your prosecco a particular taste then make sure to purchase the one you like.
If you prefer, there is nothing wrong with using Champagne instead of prosecco.
Notes:
Pour prosecco to your liking. I served mine in a wine glass.
Garnish can be thyme, rosemary, pomegranate seeds, or orange slices. Your preference.
