Smoothies are an excellent breakfast, lunch, or snack. They are a healthier substitution when you want to lose weight. They can be high in calories and low in calories depending on the ingredients. I often time make these delicious creamy smoothies and Banana Cream Smoothie is my favorite. Not many people like to add spice but spice makes everything nice.
Milk Options:
Whole milk (higher and low calorie): This is a nutrient-filled liquid extracted from mammals. 60 calories per 100g.
Almond Milk (lower Calorie): Plant milk made from raw almonds that is creamy and nutty in flavor. 15 calories per 100g.
Coconut milk (higher calorie): Coconut milk is made from Copra also called ‘coconut meat’, this is higher in calories and is a great option if you are allergic to nuts and prefer not to have almonds. Not to be confused with canned coconut milk. Coconut milk beverage is lower in calories than coconut canned milk for cooking. 50 calories per 100g. (unsweeten)
Oat Milk (higher calorie): Oat milk is delicious and has become very trendy. It is made from cut oats or whole groat, soaked in water, and strained using a cheesecloth. 65 calories per 100g Whatever you choose it will be great. My favorite with this recipe is coconut milk for sure.
Peanut butter instead of Almond butter?:
Peanut butter, either way, will taste amazing. Do I have to add mangoes? No, you do not but the mango does give it a different flavor. If you have to leave it out, you can add more frozen bananas.

Banana Cream Smoothie

- Blender
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 tsp honey
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- Nutmeg to garnish
Instructions
- Using a blender, blend all ingredients together until the consistency is smooth.
- Pour Contents in your glass of choice and garnish with nutmeg.
