Traditionally a sidecar is made with cognac and lemon juice. But this delicious twist has Curacao Blue and Cognac. Hence, it became a Blue Sidecar Cocktail. The color accentuates the beauty while the flavor is mellow within your mouth.
Blue Sidecar Cocktail
This is the type of drink you wanna drink at a party or on a date. It just has this badass style about it that I love so much. However, sidecars can be drunk at any time. I decided to do a twist with it because I was out of triple sec and somehow wanted a drink that had a pop to it and of course, I love my cocktails fancy and pretty. Traditionally a sidecar is made with cognac and lemon juice. But this delicious twist has Curacao Blue and Cognac which turn this awesome drink into a ‘Blue Sidecar Cocktail’.
How is the blue Sidecar Served?
Sidecars are served straight up! The cocktail glass of choice is a coupe glass.
Substitution
If you have no cognac you can sub another type of brandy. If you wanna get creative and twist it all the way around. Do tequila, as long as you like it I love it. I am sure that it will be a badass as well. Let me know if you ever had it with tequila. I think it would change the tasting profile but inventing is what I love to do.
Using fresh ingredients
I will always prefer you to use fresh ingredients. It makes your drinks way more delicious, authentic, and fresh. But sub if you have to.
Garnish
Garnishes are optional. Usually, it’s garnished with a lime peel. However, I like to garnish because it adds to the flavor and aroma of your drinks. Plus it makes you fancy!
